8:43 PM
omg i'm super exhausted.
was at nus like the whole day-ish to help out with the touch young arrow's sports meet.
haha the kids all so cute.
we helped to fill up like the goodie bags n were mainly in charge of the telematch.
some of us even participated in the all-stars 8x50m race hahaha
kinda nice seeing them like really happy after they received their medals.
bobbie n i were talking about how our school seem nonchalent when it comes to sports events n stuff.
like, they don't know how much getting a trophy/medal actually mean to some people.
so they end up giving like... snacks n stuff -.-
gosh.
then those poor people obviously don't have as much motivation to win a race/match la.
oh well.
anw it was nice volunteering today haha.
not something i normally do, but maybe i should do it more often heh.
and HAHA omgosh, it tickles me so.
but i think the next time i see the word 'cinderella' i'll have a giggling fit, really.

whao 2 movies back to back today (:
celebrating my awesome free semester.
with only 2 full days of lessons.
which means, girl can either pick up violin (or switch to viola) again and/or work and get moolahhh!!
yeahh baby its like a dream come true.
anw today at cathay.
caught 'get smart' and '21'.
surprisingly, the former was actually really funny (well, i didnt grimace at any part).
the latter was just... pure genius.
worth the anticipation (:
haha
with an awesome soundtrack to boot (i.e. kasabian's L.S.F.)
yepyep.
nicenice.
and i'm currently reading glen duncan's 'i, lucifer'
its really funny.
i'm not even halfway through and at some parts i actually burst out laughing, like OUT LOUD.
.

a) People who have been tagged must write their answers in their blogs
Replace any question they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
b) Tag some people to do this quiz and those who are tagged cannot refuse.
These people must state who they are tagged by.
Continue this game by sending it to other people.
#1: If your lover betrayed you, what will your reaction be?
he won't dare.. -squeezes stress ball till it breaks into pieces somehow-
#2: what kind of people you dislike?
backstabbers, hypocrites, and ... i dunno how to type it but this is how it sounds like the buzzer on a gameshow when you get an answer wrong. it also means 'act cute' la. lol.
#3: What will your dream wedding be like?
just as long as its between me and the one.
#4: Are you hungry?
always. even when i've just had dinner. sucks ):
#5: What's your ideal lover like?
able to accept me, my flaws, my friends, my family.
#6: Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
the latter, especially if its by someone you love as well. best.
#7: How long do you intend to wait for someone you really love?
hmm.. depends i guess.
#8: If the person you secretly like (if there isn't one, just imagine) is already attached, what would you do?
make best of the situation la. if you're good friends, stick to being just that and be contented, thasall.
#9: Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
yeah. not understanding why some people do the things they do just for drama and someone else's misery. and there's always been one thing that i'm perpetually unhappy about. which i'm waiting patiently for. been waiting for quite a while now actually.
#10: Is there anything that has made you happy these days?
being able to meet people i've been meaning to meet up with during the hols (:
andd... less than half a year more till the end of high school! \m/
#11: How do you see yourself in ten years time?
i'll be a shrink and loving life cos i'll finally get what i want ;)
major travelling would have already been done.
#12: Who are currently the most important people to you?
default: family
my close friends, who accept me for who i am (:
thanks.
#13: What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
bellebelle! with the braces ;)
i can't wait to take mine out la.
and remember we must go shopping for things together haha.
thanks for showing you care when i need it (:
and for the crazy times in school lol.
you and ONLY YOU can match my tomfoolery.
#14: Would you rather be single and rich, or married but poor?
uhm unless i'm married to THE ONE, then the former.
#15: What's the first thing you do every morning?
ada: press snooze 100000 times.
me: ditto 1000000034233 times.
#16: Would you give it all in a relationship?
i'll try hard to make it work, in hope of reciprocation.
#17: If you fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would you pick?
i just hope that'll never ever ever ever happen, lol.
#18: Would you rather be friend with a geek who is a really nice guy or a super hot dude who really isn't that nice to you (treats you badly as a friend etc) ?
i'll slap myself till this silly nightmare is over HAHA.
#19: What are your friends usually like?
mostly, they can bear with my mumbling and match my wit (its not hard at all i'm telling you HAH.). they love me, yes they do. and i love you guys too don't worry (:
#20: What would you do if you had one day left in the world?
i'll not want to die with any regrets, so i'll call/visit/text the people i have unfinished business with (pleasant or not), and give all my loved ones one last kiss and hug and leave them with my famous last words.
i tag whoever reads my blog.
dont cheat ahh... i know who you are
-does the barney i'm-watching-you thing-
ok i don't know why but i had a random flashback in my mind.
i suddenly remembered my obsession with the amanda show back in sec1 and sec2.
and i was especially into penelope, amanda's number one fan [insert catchphrase: please.] and kyle (:
totally.
HAHA.
funny.
first day of school today.
kinda ok.
4 hours break was... blah.
hope the timetable'll be tweaked to our advantage /:
us, with no bio honours.
day 2 tomorrow, ameera.

so effing sad.
sigh.
ok chris is not a friend, but a character from 'skins'.
yes, girl's got feelings.

5:55 PM
and the long-awaited 'memoirs of ameera in bangcock':
day 1 - sunday june 7
we arrived post-noon, so we only had time to visit chatuchak market.
even though we spent like more than 3 hours there, i think we only managed to cover like 10% of the whole area.
tons of backpackers there.
i HAVE to come back here next time, when i'm backpacking with BFFs :)
oh yeah, but the weather here is HOTTER than it is in singapore, and less humid.
had room service for dinner.
fried rice was close to tasteless, but the chilli padi was mindblowing.
at night, abah aleefa n i went to the stalls nearby our place (windsor suites @ soi 18-20 sukhumvit)
many lacoste shirts haha.
and porn too, like super openly.
we were like a (skytrain) stop away from nana, so there were many 'professional escorts' and farangs (white men) around.
do i look like a thai whore, really..
got mistaken for one thrice la.
kthxbye.
anw jaywalking in abundance noticed in bangkok.
like... total disregard for the traffic lights.
and the drivers too.
even though the green man's flashing, they won't stop until someone actually starts crossing the road.
but the people here close-to-don't honk AT ALL.
they drive like my dad does, but minus the honking.
peaceful.
even when they're about to hit a pedestrian, or another vehicle cuts into the lane.
ABSOLUTELY NO HONKING.
singaporeans should take a leaf out of their book.
people here honk at the smallest things.
tsk.
badbad.
it's probably because thais find it rude when someone DISPLAYS anger.
like, even shouting is considered uncouth.
yeah.
(from some brochure/map we got in the airport)
day 2 - monday june 8
went to MBK.
one of the largest malls i've even been in.
i dare say its more then twice the size of WANYOU o.o (1utama @ kl)
even though the shops are in a straight corridor, you won't be able to see the other end of it if you stand at one end.
that long.
it has like 6/7 levels of shops and a really cool food court called 5th avenue.
not that cheap there.
but food's pretty good.
had tasty giant river prawns as side dish.
oh oh i love that sweet-sour-chilli-lime dip they give for the seafood.
its like some thai specialty.
really yum.
in the afternoon we tried the tuktuk!
haha
its like a motorized trishaw but it goes DAMN FAST and man, some ride.
its small enough to squeeze into alleys a car can't drive in.
quite fun to ride in haha.
but not if you got motion sickness i think.
yep.
and one more point to make, i think thais' courtesy >>>>> singaporeans.
i mean, say you're pregnant/old/carrying tons of bags/have a little kid with you,
what are the chances someone in the MRT here would give up their seat for you?
not VERYYYY likely, yeah?
but in the skytrains in thailand, once you step into the train at least 3 people got up, trying to offer you seats haha.
awesome.
day 3 - tuesday june 9
we went for a ride down the chao phrya river, but not the whole way la.
took the skytrain and planned to walk to Pier 4, but we kinda got lost lol.
we walked into like scary alleys, with no sign of foreigners at all.
kinda like ubi avenue/those ulu car repair places in singapore haha
and after asking at least 5 people for directions, we ended up at Pier 3 o.o
yep.
we walked one pier down.
quite far laa.
and had to take turns to carry nawfal, who by the way is growing quite healthily [healthily = getting heavier at an accelerating rate.]
we rented a private boat from Pier 3 to Pier 13, where khao san road was.
i think it cost 500 baht (S$20)
but genius ameera didn't check what time khao san road stalls normally open (afternoon normally).
so we could only get stuff from the fringes of khao san road.
which was not bad at all really.
thats where i bought most of my stuff.
tees and berms galore there.
and omg we found the most awesome orange juice in bangkok.
they have stalls almost everywhere with bottled SQUEEZED-FRESH tangerine juice, which were not too sweet but not tasteless at all, with a noticeable tinge of sourness.
S$2 a bottle though, not cheap, but totally totally totally worth it.
anw we had lunch at baiyoke tower 2.
wanted to have the buffet on the 70-smth storey, but it was like S$40-ish bucks per head.
multiply that by 6 and yeah, thats why we decided to have lunch at a restaurant on the 18th storey (lobby) instead.
service there was really good.
then we went to platinum shopping mall for shopping part 2.
omg.
that place.
insane.
6/7 storeys too.
think my mom said there was 1400 shops there.
and a huge huge huge food court.
all the shops in the mall had like a 'wholesale policy'
where if you buy 1 piece, its this price, but if you buy at least 3 pieces, you get it at wholesale price.
shopping overdose here.
and original thai red ruby is mindblowing la.
awesome to the power of infinity.
and -whines-
black canyon coffee guyyyyyy.
oh well.
and there were shops that sold designs from threadless!!
but all were like L XL XXL :(
so couldnt buy for people.
and there were 'i think he's gay -->' and '<-- i think she's lesbian' shirts and i wanted to get them but... an inner voice told me not to. so yeah. i didnt. if you don't wear clothes that are the sizes majority wear, you'd love it here.
day 4 - wednesday june 10 [HAPPY BDAY CHEY LOVE!]
felt that an afternoon at platinum was just not enough.
so we went there again haha
then it rained when we wanted to go back.
so we HAD to take a cab back.
and gosh, when it rains, cab fares go up up up k.
cost us like S$10 for a ride that would have normally cost us S$2.
had dinner at some seafood restaurant at nana which aleefa n abah discovered in their first trip to bangkok.
owned by some african guy.
was the best meal we've had in bangkok.
we were all full to the brim.
like really too full to move.
but since nawfal was in a bad mood, we couldn't stick around to discover the 'wonders' of nana.
so yeah.
oh god, i just recalled a disturbing conversation overheard at the seafood restaurant, which made me almost choke on my yummy bbq squid.
was between a 'professional escort' and two horny farangs.
farang 1: oh let's try the tiny crabs.
'professional escort': yeah sure, i heard they are really spicy...
farang 2: haha i have some tiny crabs in my pants too
-both farangs emit hearty raucous laughters-
...
'nuff said.
anw that was the gist of it.
due to the lack of channels we normally watch, we've been educating ourselves with national geography & nat geo junior haha.
it's actually not really boring you know!
well i guess thats just because we didn't have star movies and hbo and star world and disney and... yeah.
that was it.
and then we start school tomorrow.
wow.
june really went by at the speed of light.
:(
but i'm glad i managed to meet people that matter :D
MEL!
i can't believe we managed to meet!
but i'm really really really glad we did.
even though we've only seen each other like once a year for the past 4 years, we still have that THANG ;)
the uncle fam-uncle jai bond lol.
i can't believe our dads used to work and play golf together.
FURBY!
i'm sooooooooooo sorry i made you wait for 40mins cos of furb-blurness.
i gave myself 2 slaps, 5 tongue bites and 4 blue-blacks in total, is that enough punishment?
lol
but furbtime is always best (:
even if we can't meet for another 6 months due to ameera's crazy timetable and md's a lvl preparations, you can always call/text me if anything k.
frolick!
JESS!
thanks for accompanying me to that totally lack-of-enthusiasm seventeen summer party at cafe del mar hun!
as usual, we had our own private fun.
and i really thought that phua-lookalike made those sexual innuendo comments abt the contestants la.
and we had to take a picture with him n his gf/wife/sister o.o
funny.
if they post it up in next month's seventeen i'll scream and run away to that island no one knows.
ok shall read a bit then go to sleep already.
gotta wake up at 6.30am.
ugh.
wish me luck foos.

really.
ahh i think i don't wanna play gh anymore HAHA.
maybe in a month.
but wow its getting really tiring already.
gh in the morning and track in the afternoon.
today is awesome.

i LOVE being the bearer of good news (:
the satisfaction of seeing the ecstatic look on people's face [or the equivalent through texts]
hehe
and for those of you who dont already know,
LOSTPROPHETS IS FUCKING COMING TO SINGAPORE FOR SINGFEST THIS YEAR OHMYGOD YESYESYES :D :D :D
but not like there's even a chance of me being able to go.
bah humbug.
i went to chinatown point for the first time in my life today haha.
i'm so suagu please.
but not like theres much there anywayy..
its for.. specific groups of people with specific agendas.
so for window shoppers, chinatown point's not your place.
and i realise when i go out nowadays, i always take the mrt up and down and up and down like theres no charge.
i really should consider getting a concession pass.
andandand i CANT WAIT to see slimey and jessbo tmr (:
sentosa oughta be awesome.
picnic gear all readyyy.
and last night i found out something that proves again how like-minded furby and i are.
(:
it just gets better and better.
seems like everyones going overseas right about now...
-cues da funk soul brother song-
and for those who seem to have nothing to do this june, please go watch the british series skins!
